Don't read this as a change in my position on his open letter, I still think it's idiotic, but his intestinal fortitude, has my respect. When we buy something from them, there's no obligation that goes with it. We give them money, and they give us a product. On the other hand, when we invest in their company, we don't directly get anything out of that. Instead, we get partial ownership, and they have a responsibility to take some notice of us. But the idea that they need to listen because we bought something from them... Of course, most people who read this probably won't need convincing...
