You know it doesn’t exactly scream credibility, when you host and judge a contest, on a domain named bart-teunis.eu, and one of the entrant’s name is Bart Teunis.

GameMakerBlog and GMNews recently posted their search engine statistics. I’ve followed suit.

My top searches, in order of most prominent are:

gm server
nakedpaultoast
game maker decompiler
caveman craig
gm obfuscator
39dll

Or slight derivatives. It’s obvious people are looking for the decompiler, or information about it, anyway. I’ve never received any hits from people looking for GM cracks or key-gens, but until now, those terms haven’t appeared anywhere in my blog.

It was at this point, that my search terms start to vary drastically. Not limiting myself to strictly Game Maker, I get very different search terms. It’s to be expected.

Intelligent Motion.

I have another poker session to share with you.

I played this session yesterday, it’s a very different session than my previous poker video.

In this session, there is a lot of opportunity to discuss some key poker concepts. Unlike the previous session, there are no huge All-in pots. It contains a lot of small pots, demonstrating continuation bets, pot odds, minimising losses. Basically what it takes to grind-out a win at low limit No Limit tables.

Pay particular attention to hand number 59, at 29:00.

NL Poker Session 2.

I’ve been playing poker for more years than I care to remember, casino poker for about 10 years, and online poker for about 5 years. I’ve had some success.

My specialty has been Limit Hold’em ring games, and Limit Hold’em Sit’n Go tournaments. With the huge explosion of No Limit poker, and the American unfriendly UIGEA bill. Limit Poker is drying up.

I’ve been focusing on No Limit ring games and tournaments. I’ve been doing well at the ring games, but not so well in the large entrant tourneys. Still working hard though.

I’ve created a video of a recent low limit No Limit Hold’em session, where I narrate my play and thought process.

I’m a little paranoid right now. I’m expecting the FBI to pound my door down, because of a Denial of Service (DoS) attack I orchestrated.

Let me explain.

I was browsing through my email, and a Viagra and other pharmaceutical products SPAM, made it through my SPAM filter. This one was different than most, it had a toll free 1-800 number listed in a big bold font, with an invitation to call, if I had any questions.

Hmmmmmmm. Free long distance telephone call to a SPAMMER. Jack Pot!

On the net, new expressions, words, colloquialisms, often come to life. Out there, somewhere, is the first usage of newbie, a smilie. There’s also the creation of local words, that have meaning to the local group, but never breakout. Chez Watt on Talk Origins, comes to mind.

We might just have captured the birth of new meme!

Or maybe not.

OK, let’s clear some things up right away.

Yes, I am aware that IQs, testing methods, distribution curves are problematic. Especially when IQs are compared between individuals, sexes, cultures and countries. Even with the problems, there are strong correlations between IQs and intelligence, academic performance, income, and other markers.

And yes, I’m also aware that correlation does not necessarily mean causation. Though, often it does.

Lately, I’ve noticed a few members posting their perceived IQs in their signatures.

Yes, I know, I should have dropped the Open Letter thing. And Yes, I probably shouldn’t have created my Open Letter. I definitely shouldn’t be further promoting the insanity further, with this entry.

But hey, at the end of the day, when it’s all said and done, isn’t it always about the hits?
